First and foremost. My sister ~amy-art (https://www.deviantart.com/amy-art) and I will be returning to Seattle next year for Sakura Con! Pretty damn excited. Even with all the current stuff going on right now, a break in Seattle will be the perfect thing.
Second. I've been staying away from taking commissions, cause i've got soooooo much stuff to do. But somehow, i've got a bad habit of not being able to say NO when a person asks you face to face. Curses personal contact! It's sooooo much easier to say no in email form :P
But yeah. Things have still been going super busy with the store. But the best part is, i've still had tons of free time to
Let's try this again. DevianArt is a little buggy, no?
I learned alot about the way umbrellas go together AFTER I put this one back together. Oi! It's ok - it holds together alright and honestly I spent $2 on the whole thing. (Free LACE! what a win). Next time i think some elastic at the top or a lot more gathering for tautness. I'm too lazy to recreate it now! Lots of fun in the process and not too tedious. All in all, a successful project.
I am just starting out. I have helped create some costumes and I really enjoy the process. I am working to expand my skills and repertoire but as Art and Sewing are not my full time gig..takes a bit of time.
My icon is my Scout Mom costume from Team Fortress 2. That good lookin guy next to me is my daughter as Blue Scout. We were playing DDR at Sakura-Con. The best Jack Sparrow ever is holding my shoe in the foreground. How cool is that?
SO yea - I will upload photos of my work later (in mean time you can look up Facebook.com/Depp Squad. I made the Hatter (not the hat!!) and Will Turner. He was a guest star that day!
Ciao!
